 Sheffield karting hero Russ Danzey didn’t only have to see off 20 rivals of the very highest calibre around for his latest podium finish at national level – he also had to beat the odds into the bargain, after a miscalculation ahead of the final left him grappling around for grip and under attack from all quarters. It was, by any measure, a phenomenal performance.

Brogan in for Richards at Mallory Park |

 HM Plant Honda has announced that Steve Brogan will be replacing injured Glen Richards at the Mallory Park round of the ViSK British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli next weekend (17/18/19 July).
Brogan has already been a title-winner for Honda when he was crowned Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Champion last season at the penultimate round. Now the defending champion is lying second in that class, but with no race at Mallory Park he is eager to prove he has what it takes in the Superbike class.

 Simon Andrews was back out on track this morning on the MSS Colchester Kawasaki, setting the fourth fastest time in one of the closest sessions of the season so far. But with the times as close as they are, he is seeking that slight improvement that will ensure he secures a front row start for qualifying. |
