PUTTING, putting, putting - it's been driving me absolutely mad.
Last week at the KLM in Holland I was hitting the ball well enough to win but could I hole anything? No chance.
I was in great shape standing in sixth place going into the third round but I admit I lost my head as putt after putt just kept rolling by and I ended up shooting 75 to tumble down the leaderboard and out of contention.
I must have averaged 32 putts per round over the four days and that's no good at all. You are never going to win anything with an average like that.
If I was leaving the ball 40 ft away from the flag on every hole then I would accept a high putt count but these were from six, seven and eight feet. It wasn't good enough.
As soon as I returned from Holland I had to tell my coach, Graham, that his day off was cancelled and we were going out on the putting green for six hours.
It's essential to get the problem sorted out because there are still some big events to come especially the end of season Dubai World Championship in November.
I'm off to Austria this week for what is one of the more low key tournaments on the tour.
I hadn't planned to play there originally but I've got to get out there and try and start rolling that ball into the hole.
Here's hoping I'm not breaking my putter across my knee by the end of it.
