Danny misses the cut at Celtic Manor and fails to qualify for the US Open.
My putting troubles have been costing me dear in the last couple of weeks and I really need to get the problem sorted out. Since I knocked in a 15-footer on the final hole at the PGA at Wentworth to finish outright fifth, I haven't been able to buy a putt.
I feel like I'm striking the ball okay on the greens but sometimes the pace is a little quick and I leave myself a testy one coming back. That puts pressure on when you have to keep holing four footers the other way and eventually you are bound to miss one or two.
It also means you start getting tentative on the first one and you lose confidence.
This is a big part of the season and I need to get back on track but I believe it will come and I know my game is basically in good shape.
Not getting through the qualifiers for the Majors is particularly disappointing because I'm a Majors virgin - I've yet to play in one. I could still qualify for The Open at the Scottish Open next month but it's going to be difficult.
My best hope to play in a Major this year is that I stay in the top 100 in the world which will get me into the USPGA.
If I'm going to do it though I've got to work on that putting which I'll be doing while I take a bit of time off before my next tournament which is the BMW International in Munich starting on June 24.
