Sport First client Jake Jervis had a debut to remember as he scored the opening goal in the Lilywhites 1-1 draw against Rochdale at Spotland

The on loan Birmingham City star joined Preston North End when the transfer window opened for business yesterday, and has already proven to be a shrewd piece of business from management team Graham Alexander and David Unsworth

"I really enjoyed my debut" admitted the 19 year old

"It was a hard days graft against Rochdale but the lads showed great spirit to earn a draw after going down to 10 men"

"I have a knack of scoring when I make my debut but it was really brilliant to score the opening goal of the game and hopefully I can now progress and help Preston North End by scoring goals"
