As an Amateur Grant had a very successful year in 2004 winning the York Rose Bowl and finishing runner up in the final of Yorkshire Amateur. In the same year grant won the North of England Youths in Middlesborouh, the Nelson Grimshaw Trophy at Garforth and also Golf World -Jameson Champion of Champions Final. Grant finished 2nd on Yorkshire Oredr of Merit and was also selected for the England B squad. In 2005 Grant represented England in the Copa Monterrey (Mexico) finishing 4th and also helped Yorkshire win Northern Counties league and The County Finals being joint top point scorer. Grant then went on to win Yorkshire Order of Merit in 2006 and had 12 top 10 finishes throughout the season. Grants more resent achievemets include finishing 10th on EPD Oredr of Merit including 5 top 5 finishes and 8 top 10 finishes. His best finish was 2nd in the Licher Classic. Grant got to the final stage of teh Asian Tour Qualifying School and missed getting into the final stage of European Tour School by 1 shot.
